| TVC Announces Ricardo Simpson as Vice President, IP Sales and Engineering |

TVC Communications is pleased to announce that Ricardo Simpson has been promoted to the newly created position of Vice President, IP Sales and Engineering. Mr. Simpson had been most recently the Director of the IP business unit for TVC Latin America. This position has been created to fill the increased activity that TVC is experiencing in the design, installation, and integration of IP based technical products and services throughout the Western Hemisphere.
In this new role, Mr. Simpson will be responsible for all sales and product engineering and service activity. Jim Manari, Chief Operating Officer of TVC, said “Ricardo’s strong technical background and business unit management experience will help drive TVC’s increasing presence in the IP world.”
Mr. Simpson replied, “Increasingly, we are working closely with our customers in offering the IP products, technical services and system solutions they need to stay competitive. They realize that they must deploy at least the triple play combination of voice, video and data if they want to increase revenue per subscriber, reduce churn and grow asset value.”
Mr. Simpson has been in the telecommunications field since 1994. He began his career in CATV with Metropolis-Intercom, S.A, in Santiago, Chile. Today that company is known as VTR GlobalCom, S.A, a part of Liberty Global, Inc, the largest provider of voice, video and data in Chile. He has also worked as Director of Planning for the ISP Business Unit (today known as Terra Networks) of Telefonica, S.A, one of the largest telephone network operators in the world, and as a Consultant and Service Manager for IBM Global Services before joining TVC in 2000. At TVC he has been responsible for creating the IP business unit, integrating advanced technologies including VOD, High Speed Internet Access infrastructure, the deployment of numerous VoIP systems and providing a single point of contact to MSO’s looking for advanced solutions, from pre-sales to deployment and support. Ricardo is a graduate from the University of Chile and holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and a Master’s degree in Telecommunications. Ricardo and his wife Paz live in Hollywood, Florida with their two young daughters.
